Receives the utmost importance
School Education: grades KG through 12th with books, school supplies, uniforms and school fees provided by Nitya Seva. Classroom teaching is supplemented with tutoring if needed. Computer literacy classes are held in the evening at the Children’s homes.
Special Education: for children with disabilities.
College Education: for those children who make the grade and secure college admission.
Residential Teaching: An intensive small group and often one on one teaching of basic reading, writing and numbers for newcomers who are illiterate has been started in 2022 to equip the child with basic skills before school placement.
Ensuring the health of our children
Preventive Health Care: with regular physical examinations and immunizations.
Medical Care: with hospitalizations and surgeries as needed.
Counselling: a trained psychologist visits the childrens home periodically to provide counselling as needed.
Recreational and Cultural Activities
Play and Learn
Free Play: The largest Children's Home at Pipalner boasts a vast playground where children engage in free play during evenings and weekends. The flat rooftop of the home serves as a wonderful secondary playground.
Team Activities: are regularly organized by the supervising staff.
Holidays: Major holidays from all religious denominations and national holidays are celebrated with fanfare. Self respect for fellow human beings regardless of race, religion and caste is emphasized.
Support during Transition
Support is provided to the transitioning children by helping them with job placement and finding living quarters. Most importantly, we continue to stay in touch with them for quite a while as they settle down.
And we do it all for $3.72 per child per day!
This level of care would not be possible without the support of our donors. It is their donations that fund the care.
